I've always found about pages to be very difficult to write, mostly because I don't really know what to put, whereas the rest of a site is just made up on the spot uaually and so it flows well. So I'm going to have one last stab at a about me and this time include about the site info.

About me

Hello, I'm Adam, And this is my personal web-site. It is a small hobby of mine, which concentrates my other hobbies, Writing, de-stressing and making people laugh, into one place. I might like funny stuff, such as watching Youtube at 3 in the morning, but I also like to know my stuff. I spend many hours reading Wikipedia. Sometimes I think I know it all and so publish what I know on my web-site, in an attempt at sharing the knowledge.
I'm not a total geek though, I love listening to music, some of my favourite artists are: Green Day, Muse, the Klaxons, Kaiser Chiefs and many more. I, like most former students love to watch telly, in particular, ANY telly. If I could make my own TV channel I'd have on it: Heroes, Top gear, Doctor Who, Family Guy, American Dad, Just For Laughs, X-factor(just for the rejects), Corrie, Golden balls, New Tricks, and many more.
Sports: I'm not really a sporty person, But I like to have the occasional kick arround with a football(though I usually end up in goal). Watching sports usually requires some understanding of the game, which means I don't follow cricket. I'll sometimes watch a game of footie on the telly, but I find it to be a rather dull sport. However I will watch the six nations, as that is a entertaining sport, and I now understand it(mostly at least).

What do I do when I get drunk?

Although Alcohol is very bad for children, I am not a child, so I like my Cider. Sometimes I work on this website(You can tell from some of the blog posts), Listen to music, watching a funny film(which in reality isn't that funny) or TV program, play air guitar or air drums.

About the site:

The site has gone through many stages of looks and content now, and its gone through six(and a bit) different looks in about eight years, and so after getting peed off with the way that MS front page was putting in loads of dud code in I decided to try and code this look all by hand(notepad all the way!), it is incredibly difficult but at least I know how my site should and indeed does work, instead of wondering why each page is over 10KB. The site originally started off as a crappy webpage with my favourite thing on it(it's still like that today!), but it had a bad colour scheme and terible navigation to the last page you were on, The second look was better but the links kept breaking and images couldn't be found. The third look was crap, it was difficult to update, there was loads of usless code and it was a crappy MS front page template, which many people look down at you and think oh he can't be bothered to design his own site! See what I mean

Nowerdays, the site runs under a re-rebranded version of all its previous incarnations, and instead of just being a difficult to use site, we now have a constant navigation system system in place, and a good variable theme system,and we also use (mostly) valid HTML and CSS, obviously our aim is to make the whole site Valid HTML 4.01 Strict with Valid CSS, but somtimes the difficult parts are finding all the little details. We also use(the outdated) SHTML which is HTML but with Server Side Includes, which make the pages that bit easier to update. We also have regular updates, unlike in previous versions where the site was updated once every now and then.
