Films reviewed by AtomWay in 2007?

I review some more new films.

The years 2005 and 2006 saw me going to the cinema a lot, just to review films. I found it to be quite successful. So much so, I've decided to keep the tradition.

Employee of the month

Forget Archright and g-g-granvil, Employee of the month is a funny look at the way cash and carries work. I found it very amusing, even if it was the typical American film where everything turns out the best in the end for the good guy, sorry spoilt the ending now. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it was a little bit bland on the action side.

Only 7 / 10

Hot Fuzz

Actor Simon Pegg takes on the lead roll as a police man moved from the city to the country, taking with him his values. Only the locals don't like it that much. Very funny film with some good one liners, and general sillyness. Some of the jokes were a bit predictable, but thats part of the charm I think. Having a gun fight in the middle of safeway made some very surreal moments. The best film I've seen in quite a while, some real good belly laughs came from the audience, me included.

Good 9 / 10

Epic movie

If you like things that take the piss then you'll enjoy this film, but you'll enjoy it more if you get all the references. I didn't get many of the references, so I didn't enjoy the film that much. But I did enjoy some of the concepts involved.

Decent 4 / 10

Superhero movie

Once again the king of spoof, Leslie Nielson, is back with another film, Superhero movie. Which as you can tell from the title is a movie about a superhero, only in the making. The main character gets bitten by a genetically altered dragonfly. As a result turns into a superhero, with comical effects in the process. If you've ever seen spiderman, then your likely to recognise the plot, it's just a bit twisted.

Good 9 / 10

More reviews when I see a film that looks good, then a trip to the cinema, or buy it on dvd. With thanks to the staff of Odeon Wrexham and Manchester, as well as those in HMV.
No matter what I review these films as please see them as the film and music industry loose £100 Billion a year(each) due to word of mouth, so how they can loose anything to piracy I don't know. Oh and PLEASE PLEASE don't pirate them or buy a pirate DVD or video, when you do you push up the prices for us the paying customers.
