Our first visit to Alton Towers of 2006.

Alton Towers works it's magic.

The 7th April 2006 saw a limited number of us, visit our all time favourite theme park. This time we I forgot to take my camera out of the bag and take any photos.

This years rides were(by one or more members of the group):

Air [9/10] - Brilliant ride, still fast and fun with no break downs this time YAY! Average queue(30 min)
Runaway Mine Train [7/10] - Fast fun and more scary than you would think for a kids ride. They opened the queue while we were waiting(15 min)
Corkscrew [5/10] - Its rusty and shaky, lets face it Corky has seen better days. Hardly any queue(1 min)
RITA [7/10] - It really isn't worth the wait any more. Far to long, it broke down too(60 min)
Hex [6/10] - Fun for the kiddies, I like it too. Barly any queue(2 min)
Oblivion [10/10] - My new favourite ride, just dont look down. It took longer to walk round the queue than we were waiting(3 min)
Oblivion [10/10] - Still scaring us shitless. Going under the barrier saves walking round all the way(2 min)
Oblivion [10/10] - Not loosing its edge. Really short waiting time(2 min)
Congo River Rapids [5/10] - Splash arround with others in the same boat. A little queue but not much(10 min)
Duel [6/10] - Yay I won this one! No Queue(1 min)

Really bad traffic

Once again the roadworks on the A500 in stoke held us up. Overall the queues were't too bad I think, it was moderately busy. We plan for a return trip later in the year, but when we don't know. Air did work today as did most of the other rides, RITA broke down for a while but we got to go on it afterwards.
There were no incdents on the roads this time, no near misses or curbs either "Fantastic".

Bad parking in Alton Towers

We also had a spot of bad parking, this was kind of fixed later on, but not brilliantly.
